Janet is a Registered Psychologist in Hong Kong, with 10 years of counselling and psychotherapy experiences, specialising in sexuality, gender and relationship diversity issues and adults’ mental health problems, such as general anxiety disorder and depression. After practising as a Registered Psychologist for several years in Hong Kong, she decided to pursue further training and education in Counselling Psychology in the UK. Currently, she is studying a Professional Doctorate programme in Counselling Psychology.
In her practice, she places a strong focus on diversity and inclusion. Since 2013, She has had extensive experiences in working with the LGBTQ+ community, in particular with people with gender dysphoria, and men who have sex with men that experienced substance use issues and/or sexual health concerns. In addition, she is the former HK Representative (appointed by the HKPS) of International Psychology Network for LGBTI issues (APA) between June 2020 and Dec 2021.
Over the past year, she has offered online counselling sessions to individuals from different parts of the World, including Nigeria, Chile, Finland, Korea, Macau, Taiwan, and China.
