OGA Swab Test (Urethritis) - 3 in 1 (Oral, Genital, Anal)
Urine tests are a common diagnostic tool used to detect urethritis and urine infections, which can cause symptoms such as painful urination, dysuria, frequent urination, and itching. These tests are highly accurate, but in cases where the infection is mild or the urine test remains negative despite symptoms, additional testing may be necessary. A swab test can be used to gather tissue samples from the affected area for laboratory testing. This type of test may be particularly useful in cases where there is urethral discharge, swelled testicles, blood in the urine, pain with ejaculation, or vaginal discharge.
In addition to the swab test, healthcare providers may also order a urine routine or urine dipstick test to further evaluate the presence of infection or inflammation. Overall, a combination of urine tests and swab tests can provide a comprehensive evaluation of urinary tract infections and related conditions.
